FACILITIES
Anacapa and Santa Rosa (overflow) residence halls have the following features:
- Both are two-story halls with rooms that open onto interior hallways
- Large, communal bathrooms for separate genders on each hallway (approx. 15-25 rooms per bathroom)
- Choice of single- or double-occupancy rooms, furnished with one or two single beds, desks, desk chair, small chest of drawers and a closet. Rooms do not have air-conditioning, telephones, televisions, radios, or clocks (you may wish to bring a small fan).
- Beds are made up with one set of linen for the duration of your stay. Fresh towels and trash removal service provided every other day.
- Communal kitchen and recreation lounge are available in each building.
- Laundry washer/dryer facilities on-site
- Located within a 10-15 minute walk from the conference meeting rooms and from the beach
- Complimentary WiFi is available across campus. Campus visitors should use UCSB Wireless Web, which features self-registration for UC Santa Barbara guests on the Wireless Web login page. Once you register, you'll receive an SMS/text-message-provided password, which gives you a seven-day connection. Campus visitors from eduroam-participating institutions can simply select eduroam from their operating system WiFi options and log in using their institution's credentials. If you experience any issues with eduroam while visiting UCSB, please contact your home institution's service desk. UCSB Information Technology offers campus-wide WiFi instructions.
- UCSB Is a Smoke Free Campus. Smoking and the use of smokeless tobacco or unregulated nicotine products (such as electronic cigarettes) is prohibited on and within UCSB managed property
WHAT TO BRING
With shared bath facilities it is recommended that you bring a bathrobe and shower shoes. You may also wish to bring a small fan, as individual rooms do not have air conditioning.
DINING
Dining commons meals are included with the accommodation packages. (See Package Options for meals included in each package; some conferences may have specially-catered banquets or buffets instead of one or more meals in the dining commons). UCSB Campus Dining is among the top-rated colleges and universities nationwide, with the following features:
- Assorted hot foods cooked to order
- Vegetarian, vegan, and low-fat selections available at every meal
- Extensive salad and condiment bar including fresh fruit
- Fresh baked goods prepared on-site daily
PARKING
- Parking permits are required on campus at all times, and guests will need to purchase a parking permit if they are bringing a vehicle to campus. Permits are only valid in the lot designated. Be cautious of where you park. Guests are responsible for following parking rules and for any penalties.
- Participants Staying in Anacapa or Santa Rosa Residence Hall On-Campus
Lot 2 is the closest lot to Anacapa and Santa Rosa Residence Halls. Please note that the availability of Lot 2 is extremely limited. You will need your vehicle’s license plate number to purchase your permit. Go to the ParkMobile website, use the "Ready to Park Now" link on the full version of the website or the "Enter Zone Number" screen on the mobile app. The Zone Number is 2690. Your Lot 2 permit will be valid in the Parking Structure 18 and Parking Structure 22 in case you find Lot 2 to be full. Your permit will also allow you to park temporarily in green 40-minute spaces for unloading purposes.

TRAVEL
- Participants staying on-campus will check-in at the Anacapa Front Desk.
- UCSB Conference & Hospitality Services has discontinued complimentary shuttle service to/from the Santa Barbara Airport and the Goleta stop of the Santa Barbara Airbus.
- With the high volume of visitors to Santa Barbara during the summer months, please be aware that you may experience transportation delays. Uber & Lyft are available in addition to several local transportation companies.

COVID
Attendees are required to follow the current campus COVID guidelines on masking, symptom screening, vaccinations, and testing. Please note that vaccination and testing requirements could include that all attendees must either be up-to-date (including any booster doses when eligible) with a COVID vaccine that is authorized by the World Health Organization (WHO) OR they must provide proof of a negative COVID test upon arrival and test regularly during their time on campus.
